CITES Bounce, 2001

CITES Bounce (prototype) is an audio sculpture comprised of two sound chambers that set inflated latex medical gloves into motion. Each of the two chambers enclose a speaker driver and glove imprinted with selected species of fauna taken from CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) control list no.11. The inflated gloves are set into motion by the excursion of the upward firing speaker as it is driven by sounds such as the beating of a birds wing and bird songs.
